Teak Wood distinguished.
     
Heartwood
The heartwood is chestnut brown in colour and matures to a characteristic rich and attractive dark red. 

Sapwood
The sapwood is pale cream in colour and matures to a delicate pink which blends perfectly with the dark red of the heartwood. 

Both sapwood and heartwood are combined in the same product, this mixture of colours known by Impi as “savannah” reflecting as they do the light and shade of the savannah
woodland

Processing
Zimbabwean Teak is known for its high resistance to abrasion and Is suitable for all flooring applications where strength and durability are required. the attractive appearance of the timber combined with its stability and low linear shrinkage makes it an ideal choice for the discerning buyer.

All Impi Teak product is kiln dried to stabilise the moisture  content, and is treated against insect attack.
